UMES is a proud HBCU with deep roots and a rich story. When I helped create a campaign to elevate their brand, boost fundraising, and attract new students, the goal was to celebrate what makes UMES feel like home. The campaign is an invitation, a chance for people to see the possibilities waiting at this historic university and feel the close community that’s part of campus life. At the heart of it all is a genuine focus on students, their backgrounds, dreams, and the future they’re building. We brought this to life with a warm, heartfelt video and backed it up with outdoor, print, and digital ads to make sure the message reached the community far and wide.

The campaign’s look was rooted in the UMES logo, with its wings reimagined as a “window of opportunity” framing our photography. The rich burgundy palette wrapped everything in warmth, while authentic, community-driven imagery brought the spirit of UMES to life.
